Finally a day with no hills. Just no pavement either. And also no wind. I am now on the C&O Tow path. I started it this morning in Williamsport and ended in Little Orleans. In Hancock I stopped for food at a Hardees and the cyclist that was with me in Williamsport was there. I didn’t leave until 11:00 AM today because I was waiting for rain to stop. It did mostly. I never put on rain gear but got a few minor drizzles. It was a dreary day.
On the trail I met a few hikers. Burt, from Wisconsin, is staying at lock houses along the way. I stayed in one once. It’s kind of fun to stay in one and read about the people who lived and worked there. I saw a couple from Frederick MD also hiking. I met a few cyclists doing the trail but not that many. According to my B&B host, I am about a week early for it getting busy.
I am one man staying here with seven women. ;-). It was just me and them for dinner. My lucky day! They are having a quilt retreat. I went to building where they were working after dinner. They were very impressed when I asked about an applique’. One woman commented she has been quilting for years and her husband doesn’t know what one is. There were all older women, like my age but their was one young one. Probably thirtyish.

Hardee’s is still a thing? I thought they all went bankrupt years ago. Glad to hear what you’ve been up to. I rode my bike up a hill today. It’s pretty much the same thing you’re doing.
Good job Kim! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾for your continued safety 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
