Tonight I am in Connellesville, PA. Know at one time as the Coke Capital of the World. At that time they were referring to coal. Started out this morning in a light rain but it wasn’t too bad. One of those rains where you are not sure if you are better off with the rain gear on or off. I opted for on because it was rather cold for most of the day. By cold I mean 60ish and damp.
I made good time thanks to a slight downhill grad for most of the day.
By the time I was done for the day the sun came out and it hit 70. It looks like tomorrow may also be some rain
At one point there tree down across the trail. Somebody was coming from the other direction just as I arrived so we helped each other across. It required unloading most of our gear to lift the bikes over the tree.

Ugh. I hate the fallen trees. Charles and I have had to remove our packs and traverse those before. I imagine a bicycle would be more difficult!
We’re thinking of you today for a funny reason that will tell you all about once your bike ride is all done. Hope you have enjoyable Sunday. Peddle away! May the wind be at your back.
Kim, could you kindly remind me of the total miles you’ll have covered by the end of your trip?
Discretion is the better part of valor, my friend… Total respect for you being brave enough to take it on at all. Live, K&B I
